Damaged but not defeated!!!
With Overkill 99.99% done construction-wise my honey cut me loose at 11:00pm to go play. I went down to the local GW store for their anniversary. Some guys were just setting up for a Apocalypse battle and I asked if I could join in. They let me in with Overkill a Warlord Titan, 2 Vindicators, 2 Defilers, a Land Raider, a squad of Obliterators and a Havoc squad. Overkill was armed with 2 Vulcan Megabolters and 2 Gatling Blasters. In four hours I scored nearly 100 Marine kills, 1 Predator kill and an IG Valkyrie. Meanwhile the three Baneblades whittled away at my Void Shields. But it was a daring raid by the Emperor's Scythes to Overkill's rear with a Lander Raider and 2 multi-melta armed attack bikes that did the 1 structural damage. Also in the course of the battle the drive was damaged dropping its speed to 6". So not bad for a Warlord armed basically for anti-personnel.
So after 4 hours of the most hellish battle of Apocalypse I've ever been in. I'm going to bed right after I cut my sore feet off with a hack saw. Goodnite folks!!!
Once I catch up with Mikey later in the week I will post some pictures of the battle. So stay tuned.
